The aim of the programme is
to produce doctors who have learnt the need to :
- Treat each patient with dignity, kindness,
courtsey & respect.
- Be competent in diagnosing and managing common
health problems of the individual and
community.
- Serve the community through preventive medicine
& education.
- Appreciate the rationale for different therapeutic
modalities & be familiar with the administration
of "essential drugs" & their side effects.
- Remain committed to continuing improvement in
quality through adaptation of technological advance
& continuing education,
- Maintain the dignity of the Profession.
- Recognize their responsibility to society and the
development of traits such as personal integrity,
sense of responsibility, dependability & ability
to relate to & show concern for other individuals.
DURATION Four
& a half years ( 4 ½ yrs) plus one year compulsory
rotatory internship. Candidates admitted to MBBS course
must pass all papers of first MBBS examination, within
four attempts ( the four attempts are to be completed
within 3 yrs from the date of enrolment). If they fail
to do so, they will not be alllowed to continue the
course.
ELIGIBILITY a)
Age : The candidate should have completed 17yrs of age
on 31stDecember of the year preceding the year in which
admission is sought. b) Qualifying exam: The
candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent with
English, Physics,Chemistry & Biology. Scoring a
minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology
subjects. The English level should not be less than the
core course prescribed by the NCERT.
UNIFORM The
dress code for boys & girls in the college has to be
strictly followed as prescribed. Apron with identity
card (white full sleeves) must be worn in the classes,
dissection hall, laboratories & hospital postings.
FEE & MODE OF
PAYMENT College Fee: As per directive
received from the Government of India/State Government/
Honourable courts/ Committee.
Payment of annual fee,
examination fee and other fees should be as per payment
schedule. An extra examination fee will be charged per
attempt per subject, may it be due to detention, full
absence or failure in any professional exam.
Note : All fees
are non-refundable. As per the order of honourable
Supreme Court, student may be asked to deposit full
course fee or to provide Bank Guarantee for full course
fee.
ACADEMIC
DETAIL
1.
Attendance 75% in theory & 80% in
Practical/ Clinical posting in each subject is the
requirment as per Medical Council of India. Any student
falling short of attendance will be detained from taking
professional university examination. Absence from
theory / practical class/ clinics will be treated as
absent even if there is a Doctors certificate for
illness.
2. Day
to Day Assessment/ Tutorials &
Seminars These include assignments, diagram
making, write ups, short orations. In addition
departmental examinations, terminal examination &
viva voce are conducted from time to time. The
performance in these will be the basis of internal
assessment and will have a weightage of 20% of the total
marks of each subject in the professional examination
conducted by the university. 50% marks in the internal
assessment are mandatory to make a student eligible to
appear in the University exam as per MCI rules.
RECREATIONAL AND
SPORTS FACILITY There are facilities
for indoor & outdoor Games & a Gymnasium.
